How well does this work for you?
As a black and white photo?
Given that the flower is actually a bright orange?
DOF-wise (had to go to ISO 1600 at 1/30, f5.6, lens set to "macro")?

Personally, i love it! It gives the flower a very dramatic look!

This, this is very ungreen. De-greened in fact. Nice too. I like the sort of metallic look.

Hmmm... I like the lower half of the image, it strikes me as something that could have been taken as a still from a very old movie. I think it could be much improved by cropping away a chunk of the top area.

I must agree with tirediron.....the upper portion of the shot is distracting.

Overall, a relative good shot.

Agreed about the top part in the "de-greened" lol: ) version of this photo - the original would show that there's another spot of orange (bud of second flower) up there, but that is now only a tiny black spot and not to be recognised for what it is. But in the colour version I thought it was a nice means to balance the photo.
