With any luck I will have some air-to-air images tomorrow.

Happy Landings,

Eric

Sigh.... I absolutely love airplane pictures. I can't wait for our Airshow in October, although my pictures will pale in comparison to yours. My favorite is the first sky diver shot with the flag and smoke. Really striking picture. Can't wait to see more!!

Awesome shots eric, you seem to have pretty much mastered the technique :D
Thay're all very cool... crisp and clear
Brilliant stuff in here :D

I'm guessing the Skyhawks are the parachute display team. Because that looks like a modified DeHavilland DHC-4 Caribou to me.

It is a DHC-5 Buffalo, you have them Downunder don't you? Kind of a beefed up version of the Caribou.

On the fifth picture is the flag tied to the guys leg

Yes, it is tied to his leg and weighted down to keep it open.

Thanks for the comments, with any luck I will have some air-to-air work today.

Blue skies

Airic, we still fly a few Caribous in the RAAF. The Defence Force just can't find a replacement as good as these old workhorses on short strips. Affectionately called gravel trucks by us and also the only aircraft prone to birdstrikes from birds crashing into the back of them! They are rather slow for those who don't know :)

I have (fingers crossed) an air to air shoot on the 2 July in some Tiger Moths.

WOW!!!!! Unbelievable shots Airic. Looking forward to the air to air shots. Great work!!!!!!!

im not as often as i would like to be here lately, but everytime i drop by i can find something great from you-:)
