I ran across this "the All-time top 10 Astronomy Pictures" at MSNBC.
All-time top 10 astronomy pictures - Picture Stories- msnbc.com
This image of the sun is pretty neat, but I found myself thinking "what kind of settings allow you to get that much detail of the sun". I realize it was an image from space, but I am trying to think what device would capture the detail and not a blob of light. Is that a dumb question? Anyone ever heard how they get pictures like this? I suppose the NASA sight or something might have some info.
