So my 4 year old came into my room and announced "mommy, I want to look like a woman...a woman getting married."

- I assume it stems from her fascination with the weddings I shoot. Kinda grateful I'm not shooting budoirs at the moment

Is it safe to assume that your 4 year old, is a girl? This would be an awkward thread if your 4 year old boy was saying that.

As soon as I hit submit I realized I did not put "daughter" and was just waiting for that comment... :sexywink:

LOL... Oh my god! My 2 year old just came in my room with a rain umbrella and said "mommy, here's your umbrella. It's for taking pictures!"

That's pretty cute.

My 8 year old daughter recently told me "you're the best Daddy I've ever had" then she paused for a minute and added "Because you're the only Daddy I've ever had...so you're also the worst!". I keep thinking I should have been keeping a journal of the things my kids have come up with.

One time, at school, someone said stuff.

Years ago (and I mean YEARS!), my cousin lived in Idaho. She had a daughter about 3 at the time. Her father (my uncle) also lived there. I was going to drive out to Idaho, and the 4 of us were going to take my uncles trailer and go to, and this is what the little one heard for months.... Big Sur.

"Your uncle from Iowa is coming to visit and we're going to Big Sur."

"We're going to take grampa's camper to Big Sur."

"You're gonna love Big Sur!"

The morning of departure, my uncle gets no more than 5 miles from home when he gets pulled over. He dutifully responds to the officer, "Yes, sir," "No, sir," "I'll be more careful next time, sir," "Thank you, sir!"

Sitting in the back seat, the little one asked, "Grampa, is that Big Sir?"

Mind you, this is the same little girl who, upon seeing all the factories south of Denver, exclaimed, "So THAT'S where they make clouds!"

"Sometimes I go to work with Grandfather." (He did go, once, over lunch break.)

"I no like this." *seconds pass* "I LOVE this!"

Little kids are fun. :) It's amazing the things they come up with.

Saw my 2 year old breast-feeding her doll the other day... but have no idea who she is mimicking

I have a rather big bellied uncle. My niece, who iwas two and a half at the time, asked him: "is there a little cute baby in your belly?".

My sister (the mother) wanted to bury herself

or maternity.

My kids playing hide and seek:

Jayda: (after a brief 30 second search of the house) "Addisen, where are you?"
Addisen: "I'm in mommy's bathroom!"
:raisedbrow:

Some my my has a cold and yesterday when my 3 year son called her he said:

"Get healthy and drink coffee, love you grandma"

Classic

My almost-3-year-old yelled from her bedroom "Mommy! There's a lion under my bed. I want to go to sleep!"
I yelled back "tell him to go away!"
Her response: "ok"...... (2 min later) "mommy! He said no."
