umm.... I am too poor and love my gear too much to try this =p But is definitly a neat idea that produces some unique images.

thats an insane idea...I would definately try this...maybe with a disposable...but not with my real cameras

The idea was first invented by Man Ray, I believe, around 1930. He was in a car being driven by Picabia when they rounded a corner at speed to be faced with a flock of sheep. Man Ray realised they were going to crash into them. He had a handheld cine camera, so he turned it on and threw it high up over his head to try and film the impact.
He said it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I have never found out what the result was.

Agreed, wouldn't use my own camera! or at least my main one, the images are spectacular. clever idea...
