Recently I was in San Francisco for the wedding of a friend. Riding in from the airport on BART I saw this scene in front of me, but my camera was tucked away in my luggage. I don't do much smartphone photography, but remembering that adage "the best camera is the one you have with you" so I took a shot with my HTC One. Later did some Lightroom work to further blur and separate the background.

I would appreciate any feedback, but particularly on two questions I have. Because of the way this photo came about (I was just so darn happy that I got it at all) I'm having an unusually difficult time separating myself emotionally from the image. So it's harder than normal for me to determine if it has any merit on its own.

Secondly, a lot of people say a technical perfect image is far less important than one with a compelling story. The gentleman was moving his head as I took this shot and it caused blur both on his face and her hand. Does that bother you?

Agree; I don't think there's enough in the image for someone who wasn't there. This could be anything from an affectionate gesture to a police constable putting a suspect into his car.
