Used a medium format camera for the first time today

It amazing comparing the sharpness and detail of a medium format to a DSLR, it's very noticeable. Glad you had fun trying one out

It wasnt too bad. I got the digital back fired up and couldnt figure out why the camera wouldnt turn on. turns out it didnt have batteries in it. got that taken care of and the rest was pretty easy. figured out the touch screen system, shot hand held, manual focus (for just about every photo) and learned how to tether to a computer. forgot to drop the ISO down all the way though and these Mamiyas are really bad about noise even at ISO 100. the battery for the digital back also died pretty quick and ended our shooting since class was over any way.

That's like saying Alfa Romeo makes a great car, except my transmission dropped out for no reason....

...Wait, people do actually say that.

I really like the second shot, she has very powerful eyes, but I wish it was not cropped so tight.
