Aye, I'm just trying to confirm what Gary has - because if its the close up lens attachments they won't give you any extended range at all (they do the opposite )

Edit - Gary give them a try - if they are the close up attachments they won't work at all for teleextension.

Well for me it's this or nothing, It is a hobby, I cannot spend hundreds of pounds on something I will only play with, unfortunately!

Ive spent over £20,000 to play with and going to spend loads more now i have a Leica

I will eventually but will have to save up! Got more important things at the moment so just want to try things, main things at the moment, macro, tele and wide.

For what it's worth, about a year ago, I decided to try an 'experiment', same as you...$20-30 wouldn't break the bank and maybe it would produce usable results. So I bought a 'close up' and a 'tele' screw-on pair on ebay. My Canon EF-S 18-135 wouldn't auto focus and even when manually focused, the results were like I had smeared oil on the front of my lens. Unscrewing it, the 'tele' itself unscrewed into two pieces and the lenses fell to the floor. The closeup lens never got a test before it, and the tele (in pieces) went into the trash.
