Sorry LOL.. I think #1,3,4 are screaming for B&W.

Very cool shots. I'm thinking about renting this lens for an upcoming trip to Europe.

OMG. I really cannot comprehend how/why this is allowed to continue. I really can't.

Why do you think that interaction on a photography forum should be stopped, ceased, no longer allowed to exist?

At the risk of repeating myself:

OMG, I really cannot comprehend how/why this is allowed to continue, I really can't.

That's always a decision on wide angle shots. Do you go with the 'artsy' look of the leaning buildings (and does that scream amateur?) or do you straighten it?

Sobolik, why do you spend time editing these when people are going to accuse you of theft? Kind of ironic. These forums are not protected by any means, if you don't want your pieces of work stolen DON'T POST THEM!

or put an ugly watermark on them!!! Like no one else here can go out and take the same shots????

If you wanna rip mine off I'm honored! This is what happens when you try to offer help.

I love the complaining that goes on here. People want this to be THEIR way ... Well sorry THIS AIN'T BURGER KING!

Guess I don't understand...how are we supposed to re-edit a photo (when it says 'ok to edit') without then uploading it to our flickr type sites to post it back here?

I guess I thought that people just hosted the picture long enough to post it to the forum and then deleted it.
The link would be lost and no photo will show. You see this often on older threads.

Oh, for some reason I thought if the photo was actually uploaded onto TPF it would stay there. Thanks for the clarification.

If a photo is uploaded to TPF (which you can only do as a paying member of the site) then it goes into the TPF gallery for that user and will remain on TPF until the user removes it from their gallery.

However when people add photos from others sites they are not uploading to TPF they are embedding the image. That means the image itself is hosted on the site they upload to (Eg photobucket/flickr) and the embeds code simply displays the image here in the forum - rather like putting a link only instead of the link words you get the picture.

If the photo is deleted from the original host site it will also be removed from all embedded links (because when the embed code goes to look for the image on the host site it is no longer there to display).
Note that sometimes an image will appear even after deletion and that is the result of your computer loading the webpage from the downloaded memory of the last visit to that site (all webpages are downloaded to your computer before they are displayed) rather than refreshing and downloading the site content afresh (this generally happens when you hit F5 on the keyboard or just refresh the page).

Mmmm I love me some wide angle photography.
I enjoy 2 and 3. Just gotta fix the sky in 3, it has potential to be better

I like #3

but whats the story with #6 the statue of someone hanging upside down? Is it just a sculpture or some historic event?

You know, I'll have to go back and check out the description or name of the statue. It's a person hanging upside down from what appears to be a japanese looking structure. His head is also hollowed out, very bell-like.

It's always been interesting to me, but I needed my wide angle to get the whole thing into the shot. He's put into a very tight corner of the garden lol

Thanks to those that's stayed on topic and given me some insight on what you liked/didn't like. :)
