You've just described Manitoba in the winterTo me it looks like some sort other planet that consists of a frozen wasteland.
I should clarify. My main camera with a wide-angle lens was mounted on the tripod and pointed at the sunset. The sunset was underwhelming so nothing was happening for me. Plus, my hands were freezing and about to fall off. As I turned to tell my buddy that I was packing up to go back to the car, I saw this scene. A wide-angle lens would've been useless, so I quickly grabbed my backup camera that had a long lens on, switched it on, framed the scene, metered, and snapped 3-4 photos while my friend was walking... all of this in maybe 10-15 seconds. Since I normally take waaaay longer to study a scene, choose a lens and such, this qualifies as a snapshot in my bookThis so called snapshot
