wanted: traveling photography equipment

Hi,
I'm looking for some type of equipment that I can move from place to place, lighting, backdrops, etc. I mostly take portraits of children. I am interested in anything that would help me in that area. I would love to buy some equipment from a retiring photographer or something like that. Thanks,
