Warning - Graphic wild animal photo

[JerBoyd]

Here is another one from Alaska.

http://Boyd.zenfolio.com/p897996452/?photo=621006277

Details are:

Canon 1D (4MP)
100-400mm L IS
1.4x Tele

Shot at 460mm (from EXIF)

Handheld at 1/60 sec and f 8.0

I would have to say the IS kicked in for this one.

Would love to know what you think.

It's beautiful!!! The colors in the feathers are very rich.

Very nice shot. I really like the Bobcat or Lynx or whatever it is as well. Very clear and crisp.

Thanks Gormenghast and Deadeye008,

I love the Canon 1D. It does a great job for clear and crisp.

Awww. That LYNX.
I absolutely love the photo of that lynx!
I find them beautiful animals to begin with, and I really like the way you captured this one ... all on the alert, not quite sure whether to run or whether to explore you! I really like that one. May I "steal" it from you and put it onto my computer (giving it your name, of course!)?

LaFoto - e-mail me with the details of how you would use it.
