Weekly challenge 4/3 - 4/16 Spring has sprung! EXTENDED

Cel phone out my truck windshield of the wind blowing valuable topsoil after last week's massive grass fire burned off the protective stubble from last year's cereal crops. Unfortunately, fire driven by strong winds are a Spring event, especially this year after an unusually dry Winter. Many homes and outbuildings were lost as well in the fires path.

Trees near the Rio Grande and along this irrigation canal are beginning to leaf.

Our ornamental weeping cherry bloomed today. There was even a bumblebee when I was first looking at the tree, but, of course it flew away when I went in to get the camera.
