Good question, maybe some nature, wedding.

Daytime nature, maybe. Weddings? Out of the question, to slow, unless it was a daytime outdoor wedding or using a flash (which is not often allowed).

I just got that lens a couple days ago for my 40D and i love it, its sharp and crisp. i`m very happy with it. i`ve used only so far for indoor shots in front of a window and partial glass door. i shot about 300 to 400 pictures and they were great. i took them from morning till about 4pm. i sell on ebay. i could use just about all of them. i`m thrilled i got this lens. it works well for me for what i need, indoor shots. i guess if its this good indoors, it should do really great outside too. oh, i use no flash.
