I'll predict the results for you:

Canon and Nikon will come out in the lead - they are the market leaders and many people go for a canon or a nikon these days. As for which will win its impossible to say and chances are it will swap over many times - though at the moment general opinion is that nikon is a bit in the lead camera body wise.

Sony will most likely come next since whilst newer to the market they are hitting with some impressive camera bodies at good prices.

Pentax will come last since they rather botched getting into the digital SLR market and have not had as favourable a marketing time as the others - however their latest offerings are (at least in theory because they are not out yet) looking very impressive and certainly strong enough to compete on the top level.

Overread is probably bang on with his thinking, all though I'm not sure on his Pentax theory, as the new K5 is just on the market, and getting rave reviews. Mind you, I could be bias, as I'm probably one of the few Pentax users on this forum.

Pentax doesn't advertise so I think thats one of the reasons its not very popular. I'm just waiting for them to come out with a full frame Even though all but one of my lenses would be pointless...
