...I don't think I'd change anything. Everything that's happened in my life up to now has contributed to making me the person I am, at this time and place...which isn't such a bad thing. Why mess with it and tempt the laws of unintended consequences?

See, I have to agree with this attitude. I have to believe that every move I made, the things that happened to me, let me leave Michigan and come to the SE US where I was able to meet my second husband, and we've had a blast for 20 years, with no end in sight! Since I'd never want my current situation to change, I'd be totally afraid to redesign anything from my past, for fear I might not end up where I am now!
