YEAH BABY!!!! Now THAT looks hot.

I think it's cool. Good for you going out there and working it.
Yep, I'd make the moon huge, as she's a witch and all. I LOVE the fact that the background isn't all blurred out.
The knee isn't cut off, IMO, it's resting on the rooftop.

Looking forward to more posts!

No, the moon should have been bigger. Longer focal length would make the moon larger and and shallower depth of field, if the roof is large enough.

But if i had a longer focal length and moved back some the moon would still be slightly bigger? I shot these at 28mm and was about 8-10 feet away from her.

Yes, 101th time I have told you lol. Well, if you go farther and zoom in (vs closer with wider angle), you will isolate the background more because you viewing angle is smaller. So in this case you could have made the tower bigger. You will also notice the subject body will be more flattering. Right now her legs look like you shot it facing down so you see distortion a bit.

What do you all mean by longer focal length? I should have zoomed in?

Schwetty what was that link you gave me explaining focal lengths? Or ill probably just do an experiment of my own when my son takes a nap :)

I'm uploading a picture right now so you can see a difference....

haha.. thanks Derrel! I just had a flashback of these guys on a higher roof across the street saying she was hot and hollering at her. One of them even said "you can take a ride on my broom anytime"

:x lol

Awesome!! Thank you! So longer focal lengths have a shallower depth of field too. Or just may look more like it?

Personally I'd like to see the moon fake huge, something that I don't think would be achievable by focal length. Only because of the type of shoot it is, if you're playing dress up I feel you might as well go the whole way. Still pretty cool place to shoot, I've ban banned from going on a roof in my state, and operating heavy equipment.

It is and isnt... if she had taken this with a 35 the space needle would have not even been visible it would have been like a dot.... she probably also backed up some to get this in the 2nd one, making the background more oof.

Oh i get it! Thanks for explaining. So the backing up kind of makes the background more oof.

Actually it doesn't get any more out of focus, just that because the background became larger, the blur also turns larger.

Now it's not missing anything, and if you keep an open mind and assume it was not taken on planet earth it does not look photoshopped either... sorry messing around with photoshop tonight had to do it.

The moon looks too sharp, give it some lens blur.
