I was looking at some local photographers lately and this one I really liked. What style would you say the first few pictures are. I was thinking it looks somewhat cross processed, but was wondering if anyone knew of any other name for it. (other than I am sure a few people will say over exposed, and selectively under saturated, lol)

That would be cross processing, and I would be in love with it.

That bride is smokin'.

If you want to do this in photoshop, click the link below. I threw together an image tutorial.

If your using a mac, "CMD" instead of "CTRL". Experiment with that you amount the pull the curves up and down, desaturate as you please. The key to this style is high contrast, blueish lows, and low saturation (sometimes high).

I literally THREW that together so my apologies. ;p

Always wondered how to do that :)

Combine that with blowing out the highlights and you'll be set.

...and at the same time, produce the same thing everyone else does and you would be just another photographer without a style of their own right? If her weddings start at 3600 and she is constantly busy, I would think there must be a demand for her look.

I will give this a try, thanks.

That's one way, which is why there are 6 or 7 other ways to accomplish about the same thing.

I was just mentioning that because I noticed it was a recurring theme to the photographs that you linked to, and because no one else did.

Personally, I don't care for the PP. But I think she takes great photos.

I don't remember linking any others like it, but I do really like the style she had in the first few! It might be an aquired taste! lol

Oh, I meant the link you posted in the first thread... I was scrolling through the photos looking for a recurring theme. A lot of them were really bright and had some blown highlights, but were still really nicely composed and executed.
