what now?

i've had a d40 for a few months and have been taking pictures constantly. now id like to invest some more money into my camera and im not sure what to purchase.im considering Nikon's 50mm f/1.8 or some type of new flash. opinions on this or other suggestions? thanks.

depending on the kinds of shots you are taking i would say your next step is a lens or tripod if you don't already have one.

As above, depends on what sort of photography your into.
A good flash can be as vital as a good lens!
