i want to buy a nikon d60 with a wide lense and a lense the equivalent of 12x zoom on my old camera what lenses should i buy

You could do the 18-200mm Nikon or Sigma. The 18mm is a good wide focal length and the 200mm is a good long length. If you start going under 18mm for wide angle, the price jumps a lot. There's a nice D60 w/ a 18-55 which could include a 55-200 for the right price in the Buy/Sell forum (hint hint).
