What to do when the preacher has a silly hat on?

My wife's cousins wedding. I was not their Photographer, just in the peanut gallery

But he had on this large hat on, I know its so cal. in summer but.....

So I just cut his head off so to speak... Any advice on removeing his hand. I had a hard time due to the Veil.
