What was this cabinet used for?

So I picked up this cabinet this weekend for $40, its pretty heavy duty and going to make some shelves and use it in the garage. Its 7ft tall by the way.

But I never seen any cabinet that looks like this on the inside and its painted the same green that the military likes to use, at least in 70s anyways because there was a sticker on the top that had some words and numbers and had 03/75 on it which I am assuming its March 1975 which is crazy because this cabinet is in such good condition for being so old.

I was just curious if anyone here has ever seen a cabinet like this?

Hmmm don't know...there is a faint smell of bleach though.

Yeah, Im guessing it was some sort of military cabinet. The mods to the cabinet look like military rework.

Is there a number on it that looks anything like this sequence: 7321-00-342-4322?

This is the only thing thats on it. I must correct myself..I thought it said 03-75..but it's actually 11-75. Forgot at the time of writing.

I'm not sure the military would put something like this on it.

Could it be a phone number? I dunno. If it's a phone number..why is it like 276344 -11-75?

Yeah, if it was that old the military would have a metal riveted on tag somewhere. Standard practice.

The thing is though..there are holes that looks like it was attached to a much bigger unit..so it's quite possible they didn't put a tag on this.

Nope, the US military tags EVERYTHING. That even includes the underwear you are issued. It is all specked to their wants/needs and so marked.

Looks like a digital media storage cabinet. Top section for the old large tape drives, (The 4-5 inch ones) bottom 4 prongs for the old tape reels. Size seems about right. The angled bars with poles down the middle looks like the 80's style of media storage.
