Oh dude, I would have just laughed at her and sent her an anonymous email or something telling her that her picture sucked. Passive aggressive is the way yo go!

I just [see avatar] at your post!

however as we are on the whole profile pic thingies - Erose - we need something new! Duckface is soooo last year - modernize :)

Believe me, I know. I've been trying find time to do another self-portrait to rid of that wretched avatar... not even I think it's funny anymore  ... but I have no time to wipe my ass right now, let alone take a self portrait.

I promise you it will happen soon...ish... though. XD

No offense, but I got it. I think the point your missing is it's FB. If she's a professional model, I doubt she's using FB profile pics to get work. Choose an important battle.

Agreed.

I suggest the classic "baby" pic.. I'm doing it now.

I don't have any of my baby pics online, haha. I don't think I even have any in this *house*.

baby pictures ftw! :D I had a lion's mane when I was two-ish!

And with that mental image, I'm off to bed........

You obviously questioned yourself in sending it, or you would not have asked her if it was ok. FB isnt a photo forum...people dont understand that you may be trying to educate them on the wide angle lens and distorting her face or body. She knows she doesn't look "stumpy"in real life. Think about it, if you fixed cars for a living, and had a profile picture of you holding a wratchet by the wrong end, what would you think if someone educated you on how to correctly hold the wratchet, and explained how to use it? Woudn't you say, I know how to hold a damn wratchet, it a profile picture you idiot??

How old are you 13 ? Facebook is for retards and loosers

Exactly. Facebook is Facebook... not a professional platform.

I mean people have Facebook PAGES sure... but I'm pretty sure we're talking about this chick's personal profile.

I post photography shizzle to my personal profile all the time, but I STILL post ridiculous crappy snapshots of the night I was at the bar with friends where one of them was drawing tattoos on everyone with a sharpie marker and literally drew a "tramp stamp" on my lower back. ::shiftyeyes:: :biglaugh:

Point is... not ALL of her pictures are going to be... or HAVE to be of professional grade...

IT'S MOTHER TRUCKIN' FACEBOOK YO! :lmao:

My FB profile pic is me passed out drunk with a golden retriever.

So yeah, you even bringing it up was sort of pointless. No harm no foul though, she definitely has some issues if she flipped out that easily.

Thats a bad metaphor, no offense :) . I am not telling her how to take a picture and she is not a photographer, so it doesn't really make sense. It is no difference than her having a nip slip and not realizing it and me being the one to say "uhh your boobs hanging out" . Hey if she WANTS her boobs hanging out, then great, leave it, but am I really a bad guy for trying to help someone out? Here is a better one. If she sold cars for a living and posted a picture of one she was selling and the photo had issues ( like lets say the picture made the car look odd due to the angle or focal length, or their was a big blotch from shooting into the sun ) would I be wrong to let the person know what they could do to improve it, or that it wasn't doing them any favors in the car selling department?
