Last year, my boyfriend and I bought a one-liter oak barrel and started making aged cocktails. Tonight we enjoyed a Manhattan from a batch that we mixed up about 6 weeks ago and aged for a month. We've got another variation aging that should be ready for Christmas.

Sierra Nevada pale ale. Very good and I normally don't like pales.

Normally on my birthday I would be drinking wild turkey or 151 Cruzan or Collingwood and coke... But since I'm off shore I won't be drinking anything other than water.
