When to use a lab to print?

Hi!

Question for you guys - when do you integrate the use of a more commercial type lab to print your photos vs. printing them yourself? I'm doing EVERYTHING right now which I am ok with because I've got control over the end product. But I have to admit, as more people are ordering photos it can be pretty cumbersome - anyone have any advice as to when to start using a lab or outside printing source? I know I it can get pretty pricey with color cartridges and paper et al...I guess I'm looking at quality and a cost analysis.
