Where do I begin??

Hey there! I just got back from the post office where my brand new, White Lightning X800 Flash and 48" White/ Black umbrella. Where do I begin with learning how to use the flash? I dont want to get overwhelmed and want to know the equipment in and out before I do an actual shoot. I know you guys can help, thanks!
