I'm going to see a reggae band in Baltimore next month in a club.
Fairly big venue but I'm not sure how bright the lighting will be, although the club is designed primarily to host bands so I suspect the lighting will be okay. No flash photography permitted. I'm shooting with a D90. Not sure how close I will be able to get to the stage.
Here are a couple of photos that show the inside of the club that might be helpful: https://plus.google.com/115139609352442198086/about?hl=en
My fastest lenses are my Nikon 50mm 1.8 and my Tokina 100mm 2.8. I like the idea of the Tokina because I can get shots from farther away, but I'm not sure 2.8 will be fast enough, and if I get too close, 100mm will be too long of a focal length.
Thoughts?
I also have the 35mm 1.8 but I'm guessing I will hear too much "CA" and not good for "people photography" but who knows...
Thanks.
