Which one do you guys like better

I darkened the second pic to reveal more detail on the rocks then layermasked the spots that were too dark.

Is this considered hdr. Im not really sure how to do it i just used 2 different exposures on the second one and tried to blend the 2.

I don't see a difference on my iPhone. That's the point of HDR so you can have details everywhere that a single shot can't do. You have lost too much data if you try to higher the exposure too much from one photo.

#2, much more detailed, unless you're going for a dreamy creative effect than #1. It has that bit of a blur that gives it that effect.
