Oh, cute. Another encounter with Squirrel, who talks to us through these photos.
Is this one tame enough to let you be outside while he eats and gets his photos taken? Our little red ones are sooo skittish, if I'd ever try to take their photos (well, actually, I have tried, with little success only), I must photograph through the double-glazed windows of the backdoor, or I wouldn't get any photo at all.

You are so lucky to have Red Squirrells - only in a few areas of Britain nowdays. These are taken through glass mostly - kept really clean and lens hood touching and at right angles to the window - just like an extra filter if you think of it. Takes possibly 1/2 stop out of the light however and you have to be wary of reflections. Whenever possible I have the window part open and the table is about 6ft from the lens.
