And the kicker is..... she's not real. She is a CGI construct.

That is pretty darn amazing!

:meh:

It's amazing what can be done with rendering these days.

The ear is the thing that looks odd to me. Otherwise, it looks very real. That's all from people that have much more time than me. :D

i agree, ive beena member of CGSociety for some time...

Wow! I would'nt have looked any closer and thought she was anything other then a real person had it not been pointed out that she was CGI!

For me, the first thing I noticed, upon close inspection, were the wisps of hair hanging down. Then Hobbes mentioned her ear and I looked and went "oh yeah.....that too" ....lol.

Though not perfect, I have to agree that is a pretty amazing thing. I sure don't have the patience to make something like that!

I agree it is stunning, but still you can see that something is not real... too smooth around the eyes and mouth/lips seem to be embedded later on, ... the (rather strange) smile does not stretch into the face. Facial expression is rather dull and does not match the smile. This certainly looks not human. And I guess all those working with real models agree and see it easily.

Nevertheless ... progress on this field is stunning. However, it would be even better if those graphics experts would work together with anatoms, maybe best those working for the police or for archeologists, since what you see on the outside is not just a graphics texture you add to some basic shape.

Or maybe they should work together with photographers ;)
