I know it's not the best photo, but I just don't catch this kind of shot everyday. I caught this yellow and purple finch in a little dust up this afternoon, thought I would share.

Hmmmm.....Well, the house finch's wings are blurry, and you could've asked that yellow finch to pose a bit more to the left....:er:

Just kidding. I have been photographing birds for many years now, and I know how hard it is to get any kind of good shot, let alone an action shot......good job..:thumbup:

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone. The reflexes are not what they used to be, I've learned to anticipate. In this case I focused just off of a bird feeder and waited. They had been diving on each other on and off for several minutes, just got lucky.

I believe this is a great capture since it is an action shot, which is difficult for most of us. I' ve been trying to capture action shots like this and my sucess rate has been on the low side. You had the opportuity and took it. Good job!
