Wintery Mt Rainier

The clouds have partially cleared for a while, so it was time to get out for some shots of Mt Rainier buried in a blanket of record snow. Right now at the 5,000 level there is over 114" of snow, usually this time of year it's only around 60".

Wow, looks completely different than when I visted earlier this year. Are any of the hikes around the area open?

Plenty of places to hike in the foothills nearby, right now on Mt Rainier if you want to hike it better be with snowshoes or in some places cross country skis.
