I assembled a wireless USB tethering option, it is integrated into a battery grip and not a dongle or battery box hanging off the side.
The adapter is completely enclosed in the grip and draws power from the inserted batteries.
This prototype attaches to a Nikon D5000 and the EN-EL9a batteries power the camera and the wireless USB adapter.
