Working tethered? Anybody doing it?

I was reading about a product named "ControlMyNikon" and also "ControlMyCanon" and the features seem to be ideal for things like macro, time-lapse or general science type photography applications as well as studio work.
Just wondering if anyone uses this product or has experience with it or similar software products?

Not sure if it's what you are asking but Lightroom has a tethering feature. You can download a free trial.

Canons own software, DPP has a very good tethering feature also

Check out DigiCamControl. http://digicamcontrol.com/ I use it when shooting tethered for photo booths. It works for me and it's free.

I have Lightroom but it only lets you fire the camera and capture the image. The software I read about lets you change settings and do time lapse and such.
I looked at the website for digiCamControl and it seems to have a lot of actual control features and such and is FREE, which is good. The ControlMyNikon software is cheap but certainly not free.

I use ControlMyNikon in the studio with a D800.

It allows full camera control and full screen live view and image review on a laptop.

Unfortunately, it does not yet support the D7200 so for that body I use digicamcontrol.

To date, I've only done focus stacking with ControlMyNikon, works like a charm !

FWIW, this is my light weight on site set up...

Nice setup, and a great photo Don. I wanted to try some focus stacking so very well may buy the software. It's cheap enough for my slim budget.
I read the literature and they mentioned they would support the D7200 in the next release. Shouldn't be long if I read it correctly

Digicamcontrol also does focus stacking, supports the D7200 and it's free !
