A few days ago I bought a used old style (manual) Pentax 50mm f1.7 for my Pentax camera from Keh.com. It was advertised as LN- (Like New minus) I submitted it to a series of testing steps (as recommended by a poster to TPF - I suggest that you do a search for it). This excellent little lens is really like new, tight and crisp, not even a ding to it and smooth operation in rotation, etc. The "minus" refers only to the lack of the original box and no caps, which I can get separately anyway. This is the first time I've bought a used lens, and I'm glad I did.

I have used lenses that are over 50 years old and perform flawlessly.
