I was looking through some DVDs with some old files of mine, and thought it'd be funny/interesting to post some shots from when I had my first dSLR (2006, D80 w/ kit lens). For me, I went on a 3-4 month photography binge 3 years ago, and now I'm getting back into it with new gear and a new mentality.
Anyway, here's a few of mine. I only saved the ones that I liked, so I don't have anything that I consider 100% awful to post, but total turds welcomed and appreciated! Post 'em!
I shot these (all on full auto, because I didn't know how to do anything else) in a park near my house (my mom and my daughter). C&C is fine with me, but not really the point of this thread.
1: This is my favorite.
2: I totally whiffed the focus on this one.
3. I like this one a lot, but I wish I had owned better glass. I would've loved to have my mom in focus and everything else blurred, but alas, I had my kit lens. Besides that, I would've have known how to get it done, anyway.
4. Another missed focus.
5. I like this one quite a bit, but I think I may have caught the corner of the stroller's tray as the focus point, and not my daughter's face. It's close, though.
Come on folks, let's see 'em. I'm talking your first month of photography!
