Anyone seen his film 'Hero'?
Just got the DVD. Not much of a story but the design, visuals and photography are probably the most breath-taking I've seen since Lawrence of Arabia.
The Golden Forrest sequence alone.....

Yeah I saw it long ago and also have recently purchased the DVD the visuals blew me away the first time I watched it... the colour and tonal work is superb.

I thought there was much story there ...for that matter I even thought it was better than crouching tiger hidden dragon( i just didn't like ang lee's style in CTHD). I agree the art director was very masterful and gorgeuos in Hero along with the fight scenes. These chinese myth films are very cool...can't wait to see house of flying daggers.

Anybody a fan of stephen chow films?...err...like god of cookery, shaolin soccer, kungfu hustle? if not check'em out they are awesome!!!
