I didn't think this scene would make for an interesting photo but I guess I was wrong. Hopefully you all like it as much as I do. "1936" is the number on the front of the barn, so this baby is in pretty good shape for a 75-year old rural building.

I really like this. Great lines and I love the size of the barn. The only thing I would like to see is a version with more foreground and move the horizon up a bit so its not centered. Still a very strong image.

The moment I started processing this one, I realized that there were so many different possible crops that would work... Some panos, a portrait version, a few 10x15 and 8x10, even a square crop. I ended up not cropping anything, and stayed with the image straight out of the camera

I kinda went for an infrared look, glad that someone saw this

The lines in this shot are endless!! :thumbup:The only thing I wish was different was the sky. You have photographed some amazing skies and this doesn't match up to the best of them. =) I know that the best sky is sometime not easy to obtain......but that's what makes the shot....right?! I think this shot can be amazing w/ a different sky....:hug::

Nice shot, and yeah... I see the interest in it. It's almost playful. Not sure why but that was the reaction I got... like the giant tree clump was sneaking up on the barn and about to pounce on it.

I wish the focal length had been longer...the foreground looms so much, and the barn seems quite insignificant and small. The rapid drop-off in physical size beyond the foreground screams wide-angle lens to me...too wide in fact. I don't think this shot is up to your normal high standards.

You know that focal length thing is one element of photography I still haven't quite sorted out... are you saying a longer focal length would do more than make the subjects take up more of the frame?

This photo works best when viewed big, but I understand what you're saying. It's one of my favourites of the year so far though.
