No, it's a wood called Wenge. It's a very heavy african hard wood. The wood is very dark, almost black and it's very hard to work with but sounds great when you use it on an electric guitar. :thumbup:
Cool, it's neat to know the background of the instrument. I also love the shot. It does look like Pueblo style architecure kinda, I like it! Great capture of contrast in the wood grains too; if it's as black as you say, that must have been tricky.
