Took this one today. Rather than explain, I'll just ask you what you think?

I think I'd like it better if it had some colour; I see something soft and pastel-y being suitable for this image.

I dont know if I know what you mean. Care to show me if you've got the time?

It does have an ethereal quality.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
Keith, thank you for the edit. Mine was almost SOOC, aside from a few adjustments in light room. I prefer the simplicity of the black and white in this case.

You are the only person you need to satisfy.

Lightroom is not a good tool for doing B&W conversions if you convert from a color image, but if it's all you have.......

Thanks Keith, yes, that was what I was meaning, but looking at it, I'm not sure it looks as good on-screen as it did in my mind.

Thanks for the support :) What would you suggest for B&W conversions?

Lightroom cannot do layers, and Lightroom's dodge and burn functions are somewhat rudimentary.

Photoshop CS offers more options for editing: like Layers and Layer styles, better masking controls, channels, and the LAB color space (CIELAB D50).
