My wife has never seen it. I've seen it no less than 100 times. She's going to watch it for the first time tonight.

I don't really have a question or anything ... I just felt that was worth sharing.

True story: Back in '08, I had an ovarian tumor. Actually, at first they told me it was just a cyst, then they decided it wasn't "just" a cyst.

At any rate, I was initially diagnosed at the ER (where I went about a completely unrelated problem), so the first time I went to ob/gyn about it, he examined me and then asked me to come into his office. I sat down, and the very first thing he said to me was:

"Have you ever seen the movie 'Alien'?"
Me: "yeah..."
Dr: "Well, what you've got is kinda like that..."

The kids are going to bed in the next few minutes, so we'll be putting Alien on soon. I would try to scare her or something, but I think Sir Ridley Scott will do a good enough job at that...

My favorite was Aliens. The second one. Nothing was more exciting to see all the converging dots on the radar screen and the beeping!

1979 Theatrical version or 2003 Director's Cut? Opted for Directors Cut... Never seen that one... Ive seen the original dozens (if not more) times... OK, I out of here now - we're starting the movie.

Got the Alien Quadrillogy boxed set ages ago - sooo worth it

Also Directors cut editions are superior! Especially of the 3rd film where loads of stuff fits in (although they took out the dog part and replaced it with a dead cow --- that was rather anticlimatic -- but still great changes otherwise).

As far as I'm concerned, Alien & Aliens were the only movies ever made, like there's only 3 original Star Wars .

Good flick! I saw it when it was released in 79! The little town I lived in had one single screen theater, and they would only show horror movies after midnight so as not to scare the little kiddies! I lived about a mile from the theater.. and walked to it, since my bike (triumph 750) was in the shop. Watched the show, and it was WOW! Scariest thing I had ever seen at that time! lol!

Walking home was interesting.. 2:30 in the morning, I was under the influence of "something", and my paranoia was going a little wild. Every shadow seem to have something hiding in it, and every little noise sounded like the crack of doom! That was a fun night! lol!
