My first attempt at shooting water and nature landscapes. Not really sure if these are good or not so I am looking for some opinions. I do have the original RAW files if anyone is interested in those.
First impressions: the left one - a good part of the right side of this is out of focus (OOF). For the right one, the angle of the "bedrock" is a bit distracting.
Often the best way to shoot falling water (not everyone will agree) is to use a slow speed so that the water has a misty look to it. It is often a good idea to have a good depth of field or to position your camera so that the plane of the falling water is parallel to the plane of the sensor in your camera (make sense?).
Check out this link - Photographing Waterfalls: Photography Guides . You will also find a number of good examples if you search this forum. As well, there are many others to be found by simply googling "waterfall photography". HTH.
