Boudoir - My first time NSFW

I know there are some lighting issues and blown out areas (which i tend to like as long as it isn't too extreme in photos) but I was hoping I could get some more constructive criticism to help me improve.....Thanks in advance

I like much of this, you have a nice dramatic look and she appears very lovely.

I agree that the pose is off. Her shoulder looks enormous (although, interestingly, as a graphical element it balances her face well) and her expression is ambiguous, nervous?

You did well on the technical stuff, but the soft skills of posing and making her feel at ease, feel sexy and beautiful, it seems like these need work. That's the harder stuff, though, so don't feel bad! Ultimately, she does look sexy and beautiful here, but she could look a lot more so.

Thank you both for the input, I do agree her shoulder is awkward and messes up her neck ... she is a friend of mine and this was for the experience so I really appreciate your help so I can improve

Welcome to the forum.

I agree with the posts above, you have some good things going on here, but the posing is really hurting you. The thing that stood out to me, are her hands. The front on is back-to-the-camera, which is a no-no because it creates a large flat & reflective (bright) surface that then competes with the face for attention. Always try to turn hands so the camera sees the narrow edge, not the wide view.
Secondly, the other hand (under her) is just visible but it's also bright. At first glance, my eye goes right to it and I'm wondering 'What is that?'. A slight change in position and that could be hidden.

The neck/shoulder issue was mentioned above, no need to go into that again.

And yes, often the hardest part of this type of photography is getting the model to look (feel) comfortable. Any bit of 'uncertainty' in her expression will kill the mood. They say that few photographers or models are good at this, the first few times. It takes experience to build up the confidence to really be comfortable...so keep at it.
