Just messing around a bit today... sometimes I wish this would happen as an excuse to buy a new car! Then again I think it's rather funny that my camera costs more than my car.. and I shoot a D7000 :sexywink:

Kind of a fun photo. I actually was expecting to see a concert shot of the "Stomp!" act....seriously. Keep 'em coming, tevo! Yeah...life can kind of seem sucky when you're young and drive a hoopty-type car, or what "feels like one"...oh well...nothing lasts forever...I had some awful cars when I was a kid...

Thanks again! I've been having a lot more fun with photography lately, as in I've actually been shooting outside of work. And hey, my car has sheepskin seat covers, 87,000 miles, and cost me $1000. I'm not complaining too much!

Nice job I rather like it, I use to do a lot shots like these.

Very fun photo! But I have you beat on the car. My old Canon Powershot a630 point and shoot cost more than my car. Heck, even if you bought the camera used today, it would cost more than my car did.

My brother gave me the car I'm driving right now, after my '97 Acura's transmission bit the dust last August. :lol:

Ha! So you have to either go really slow and keep it in first, or speed up first and throw it into third?

Fortunately, I'm really not much of a car person. I don't really have many requirements for my cars--I don't care how old it is, or what color it is, or really even what make or size (except for fuel economy issues).
My car requirements: it runs most of the time and doesn't require a boatload of repairs constantly, low insurance cost, HEAT works (don't really care if the A/C works), defrost works, and it has the bare essentials (like a seat, and brakes, that sort of thing). Everything else is just gravy.

And when I have a car, I drive it until it won't drive no more. I have never actually sold a car (nor have I ever bought a new car; never intend to either)--I take decent care of them, but I will keep driving whatever I have until it is beyond repair (or the repairs would cost more than the car is worth, as is the case for the Acura). Then I'll buy another old car and run IT into the ground.

I know there are a lot of people who love cars, but for me, they're just a way to get from point A to point B.

I DO kinda like for them to shift through all the gears, though. :lol:

EDIT: The car my brother gave me is actually quite nice. It's only a year older than my Acura was (it's a '96). The paint job is pretty bad and it's got a few dents and dings from some of my nieces who learned to drive in it, but mechanically it's pretty sound, heat works great AND it's got a sunroof which is a nice bonus! It does have a LOT of miles on it, but it's a Toyota Camry, so hopefully it'll last a while yet.
