Choosing a tripod, help.

I got my Slik 700DX Pro before I left for Wisconsin Dells and I think it's a great tripod. I paired it with the Manfrotto 488 ball head I had on my previous tripod (Manfrotto 3001).

Great combo and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I actually just went to the store a few hours ago and looked at both of those heads! I decided to go with the 488RC2! should be here Friday

I mounted both of them on a 190XPROB to try them out. Both were nice and i'm sure i would be happy with either of them. I just thought the 488RC2 felt more refined, sturdy and is still extremely easy to adjust. Also, the 488RC2 has the panning feature which is nice when you only want to make horizontal adjustments. The 322RC2 seems to be slightly limited on movement compared to the 488RC2.

This is going to be SUCH an awesome upgrade from my $25 Wal-Mart tripod! :lmao:

PS I also recommend going to a store and trying them out in person if you can.

Im like 65 inches tall, do you think i should get the 190 or 055??
