........... What's your latest compulsive purchase?

A bottle of Oh Yuk from Amazon yesterday. I'm living in the whirlpool bathtub, and noticed a nasty ring and funky yellowish bubbles floating around me. Seems you're supposed to clean the piping system every now and then! It's been 7 years since we moved in............ I might have to run a couple of cycles LOL!!

Fuji XE1, a windows RT tablet, and a Kowa 50/f1 TV lens I can't use but tore apart my entire collection of lenses, sparing only my favorites, trying to make it work.

But. I'm bipolar, so it's allowed.

Oh yeah, and a twenty track mixer which I should have built a power supply for long before I bought that damn kowa.

But all those experiments got me thinking about making a speed booster for a 6x7 lens. Imagine, a 7cm image circle reduced down to an APS sensor!

I'm an incredibly compulsive buyer, I also want to buy, but friends or family stop me, so I'm lucky I guess.

I used to want a big fast car so I had a BMW 5 series and then an Audi 6 turbo.
Too much worries.
Now I work towards elimination of desire for earthly things (sometimes)

When I was young I was really compulsive. My credit rating is still paying the price for that, lol

But since getting rid of my credit cards (actually they just expired and were never renewed due to lack of payment), I have learned to not be so compulsive. I do most of my shopping online so I'll shop around to find the best deal and thoroughly review feedback from others regarding things before buying them to make sure I know exactly what I'm getting. Pretty much the only thing I still go overboard on is my computers. I love my computers and every 3-5 years I happily spend up to 1k building myself a new gaming pc, then upgrading the rest of the computers in the house in a sorta trickle-down process with the old components. My replaced gaming PC parts go to my little brothers computer, his replaced parts go to my mothers computer, those replaced parts either go to my media pc or into my closet to keep as spares in case something breaks. Sometimes stuff goes to E-Bay but by then it's usually worthless.
