Coworking Spaces

Do any of you guys have experience with coworking spaces. I recently found out about them, and I did not realize they were such a big trend in the freelancing world! There's a good bit of them in my living area and I was excited to check them out when I discovered them. However, I totally cringed at the pricing of these just to get some of there basic member benefit. Some start at $300/month just to have basic daytime asses.

I won't be squeezing this into my budget anytime soon, but I wanna hear peoples personal experiences on them. Are these prices worth it? Anybody have good or bad coworking space experiences you want to share?
