CT Owl Photographers

Are there any resources on where to find owls or any general hints you can lend me? I've got enough time on my hands to do the research and come up with a game plan, but I'd like to photograph owls this year. I've only ever seen two in my 28 years but I've heard many. I have read that your first clue is by their call, but I've only ever happened upon them by mistake and never got a visual. So how do you find them during the day? Do I carry mice in my pocket?

Hmm, I feel like you were looking for me... This might help.. Tips for finding owls

And NO! Do not bait raptors. Wild animals should stay wild...

Lol, I didn't know how many others on the board are from CT. Just getting a plan together . I'd like to photograph some predatory birds when there's snow (if we ever get any). I'll read that link, thank you!

Oh man. Yup, owls are #1 on my list to photograph. I would never bait, my mouse comment was jokingly said lol. Rodents are for my snake anyways! I've got a few ideas of where I may find them now due to your description of their habitat and I'm very familiar with crows sounding off for hawks as well. I as well am a firm believer that wild animals should have their freedom and remain free of human interaction. Your owl shots are amazing.
