Clever idea, very good focus from so far away, and your hands must be absolutely still, or else I don't understand why - even with the camera on the tripod - this could have come out this clear from so far away! The b+w version with the cloned-out camera is, of course, even more impressive as it does make people wonder, indeed, where the camera is!?!? Would this not qualify for the ArtsyFartsy Self Portrait Section (any of the two: either the one in the Off Topics or the one in the Photo Themes)?

Awesome shot, great Escher tribute! The table lamps are going to blow regardless of metering as they are an intense light source in a softly lit room. The only way around it would be to get some floods and up the brightness in the room as a whole.
