Could you post the original? I don't know how the exposure and everything turned out, but it looks like it could be a nice shot.

Looks like your camera did a great job. (Your camera is a computer, right?)

As is, I don't really like the way it looks.

It's a nice composition though. The sky looks like it might have looked really nice before your editing. I like that the horizon isn't in the center, it's at the bottom 1/3.. the person in the photo is positioned well too.

It's ruined by the editing though I think - basically I wrote a long version of what Oney said.

Nice drawing. :) errr yeah too much PP. Interesting...

I'd like to see the original as well... Perhaps a sepia conversion...

Yeah, this looks just like the "line drawing" setting done in 2 seconds on-camera.

As everyone else has said, there is too much editing. Could be a cool shot, can we see the original?

Yep, I agree there is too much PP. In fact, it's pretty much all processing.
I'm not to the level that I can take a real punchy stand alone B&W but am
working on it :D
Thanks to all who helped.

i would advise you to stay away from photoshop artistic filters, for now anyway.
or any filters for that matter....except maybe some sharpening.

id also like to see the orig.

composition is nice, so thats a start!

Most punchy B&W shots these days are PP. It's just a case of playing with the colour saturation and lightness when in B&W (yes playing with the red's greens and blues has a huge effect on a B&W photo) and playing with the contrast and sharpness.

Was told once to never let anyone see your bad work but.......
This is the original that some have asked to see.
Again, thanks to all that tried to help.
